The game started off well for HSV with Petric scoring a powerful goal from outside the box into the top right hand corner in the 7th minute. 20 minutes later Boro had a chance to draw level but Mido could only force Rost into good save. Then in the 2nd half excellent flowing football from HSV resulted in Trochowski firing a long range shot past Jones.
